From lineups and stage times to a few of our choice picks, here’s the low down on Castlepalooza this weekend

Being Irish and all, JOE likes to catch some great Irish acts playing at homegrown festivals when we can, and Castlepalooza is going to be chock-a-block with top Irish talent to enjoy. The festivell takes place in Charleville Castle, Tullamore and JOE is certainly looking forward to a weekend of great music.

From SOAK to Young Wonder and And So I Watch You From Afar, then you’re going to have a pretty packed weekend, but you can check out the full line up of all the acts and the stage times here.

There are some great acts that JOE would love to catch, and we may even be there ourselves to give our view on it. Some absolutely unmissable shows will be Young Wonder and SOAK, both of whom we got to chat to recently, and we’ll have those interviews up on the site shortly.

And So I Watch You From Afar are a band that we’re big fans of, and they’ll be worth staying around on the Sunday evening for without a doubt. Daithi is a young Irish DJ who has a big future ahead of him too, and he plays the Metro Herald stage on Saturday, another one to look out for.

Obviously, CSS will be there and will be pumping out some great tunes on the Saturday on the Main Stage, while Little Bear of Derry take to the same stage on Sunday afternoon.

You can also plot your way around the festival with this handy map too, which will let you make a plan of how to get from one place to another without too much hassle so you can get from act to act.

The weather might not be the best though, so possibly pack yourself a pair of wellies if you plan to get the best of the action without getting soaked.

Tickets are still available starting form just €35 for a day ticket, and a very reasonable €50 for camping in the Moat area, however camping in the castle is already sold out thanks to the popularity of the festival, so you better be quick!

If you need any further info, check out the Castlepalooza app, which will have all the details you need, on the Google Play Store and the App store.
