JOE’s Song Of The Day #542: Laurie Shaw – ‘Shatterproof’

Eric Lalor

From the Mersey to the Lee.

Laurie Shaw is a man from Wirral but based in Cork and is a damn fine musician with a glittering future ahead. Born on Merseyside, but moved to Kerry as a child, before relocating to Cork. With a name like Laurie Shaw, you’d be forgiven for thinking he was a top footballer from the 80s, but he’s a 23-year-old on a mission.

Already boasting a back catalogue that most musicians dream of (he’s recorded over 50 albums!), driven by a DIY ethos, the capabilities to write, record and produce, and a head bursting with ideas. He’s just released what is probably his most impressive album yet, ‘Weird Weekends’, an ode to our lost teenage years.

This is a track from the album and we think you’re going to love it.
