Brass Phantoms continue their ascent.
Formed in secondary school, Brass Phantoms consists of Ryan Cashell, Greg Whelan, Adam McCabe, James Geraghty and Colleen Heavey. No strangers to their work here in JOE, we’ve featured their work before and with good reason. The release of this striking new single is a stadium-sized effort with a sweeping, anthemic chorus and disco-tinged hooks. Brass Phantoms’ sound is reminiscent of early days Hurts, with guitars not unlike that of Foals.
Arriving hot off the heels of last year’s successes ‘Waiting Up’ and Clash-premiered ‘Indigo’. The band’s works to date have seen them garner huge Irish radio play, thousands of Spotify streams, and spins on Steve Lamacq’s BBC Radio 6 show.
On the track, the band told us, “Disciples is a big step forward for us as a band. We hope to occupy the melodic space we’ve captured with past releases, but build on this with a darker undertone and a bigger sound.”

Brass Phantoms are a band on the up and certainly worthy of your attention. They seem destined for bigger things so it might be a good time now to get on board and witness the upward trajectory.
