Shining a light on his own personal experiences with social anxiety and growing up gay in rural Ireland, 'Good Intentions' sees St. Bishop take an honest and heartfelt leap toward regaining self-esteem.
"I wrote Good Intentions about two years ago, this song takes on two issues that have controlled and shaped most of my formative years. I came out as gay when I was 20. After coming out I thought that everything would fall into place and suddenly be okay for me, but I soon realised that just because I wasn’t holding on to that secret anymore didn’t mean that the effects of it went away.
Self-doubt began to creep into my life on a more regular basis and everything I did, was a constant comparison to what those around me were doing. Writing this song was a crucial moment for me, it acts as a reminder of my own self-worth and rebuilt my self-esteem"
