JOE’s Song Of The Day #681: SIIGHTS ‘Broke It With Me’

Eric Lalor

SIIGHTS

See the SIIGHTS, enjoy the music.

SIIGHTS are the Scottish/Irish pairing of Toni Etherson and Mia Fitz. The duo have been writing songs and releasing tracks for a couple of years now.

Both went out to LA to write songs for other artists, but realised that they were pretty good at doing stuff for themselves and decided that a pop duo called SIIGHTS would be the vehicle in which to display those talents.

SIIGHTS

This is their latest release and it’s a track which features raw and frank lyrics – describing the feelings which occur after you’ve been messed around by someone you’ve been seeing.

In their own words: “It’s basically a song for everyone who suspects they may be getting played by a f*ckboy/ f*ck girl. It’s about discovering the tell tale signs, and then telling that person that you’re over it. You’re walking away. They broke what they had with you.

“It’s about when you’re getting messed around by someone you’re dating and you just need your friends to have your back when you decide to call it quits with the boy/girl. It’s bittersweet but sometimes when you’re all caught up in a new romance you can see less of your friends naturally, but when things go south your friends always have your back and this was a celebration of that.”
