JOE’s Song Of The Day #686: BARQ ‘I’m Blaming You’

Eric Lalor

BARQ

BARQ it from the rooftops.

BARQ are one of those bands who seem to improve with every release. Already a fine band in their own right, they’re not ones for resting on laurels and this new release is a testament to that.

We’ve featured some of their other work before which you can check out here. With  the ever brilliant Jess Kav’s vocal and a punishing, throbbing bassline, it really is a perfect formula.

BARQ

According to the band, ‘I’m Blaming You’ is an exploration of our most uncomfortable inner voices. The ones that blame others for our failings instead of taking stock of our own behaviour. A commentary on societal pressures to be successful, accepting, and gracious at all times.

They’ve had a huge year appearing at all the top festivals and quickly forging a reputation as a brilliant live act. You can see them do their live act thing this Wednesday at the Button Factory as they launch this new single into the stratosphere. Tickets available here.
