Proper Micro NV with a new single and new album.
Proper Micro NV is 22-year-old Limerick singer/songwriter/producer Rory Hall. His brand of down-tempo experimental electronic music has seen him being compared to James Blake and Mount Kimbie.
He has just released his debut album, ‘Dormant Boy’ and this is the first track from it. We’ve featured Proper Micro NV before and with good reason.
Speaking about the new single, he says “Eyes is one of my favourites on the record. It’s about adapting to a change of situation. It’s quite dancey and euphoric in a sense and was one of the first songs I wrote for the album. It definitely set the tone at the beginning of the writing process for me.”

The album itself is out now and and Rory has told us, “This is my most personal record to date. It’s a bit of everything really in terms of emotion. Happy, sad, dancey, calming and woozy all at once. It’s a little bit idiosyncratic in a sense that it’s a bit unusual and a little bit off kilter. I like to think that it digs in a little bit deeper and pushes a few electronic boundaries. I’ve thrown everything at it, I’m really proud of it and I hope people enjoy and support it.”
