JOE’s Song Of The Day #714 – Con Murphy ‘Chocolate Pills’

Eric Lalor

Con Murphy

Con Murphy’s fifth single in 12 months.

The man from Mayo is nothing if not prolific and five singles in 12 months is a serious output from the Indie-folk singer-songwriter.

Over the past couple of years, Con has been moulding his live sound, appearing regularly in support of reputable Irish artists including Aslan, Duke Special, Damien Dempsey, The Frank & Walters, Paddy Casey and Mundy.

Con Murphy

The new release follows his debut EP, The Fjord, which was launched in early 2018 in the Eastern Fjords of Iceland. With poignant lyrics, infectious melodies and catchy synth hooks, ‘Chocolate Pills’ provides a metaphor for the importance and power of positive social human interaction, compassion and empathy.

Con is currently working on his debut album and you can keep tabs on developments via his Facebook page right here.
