JOE’s Song Of The Day #734 – Tanjier ‘Crave’

Eric Lalor

Tanjier

Tanjier bringing the slick.

Hailing from Donegal and Cork, but now based in Dublin, Tanjier’s sound has continued to be refined and enhanced over the last 12 months.

Taking inspiration from likes of Sigrid and LANY, Tanjier’s newest single ‘Crave’ is energetic and fierce. This cautionary song tells the story of love gone seriously wrong. Lyrically, it’s based on real-life snippets of an overheard argument, between a couple on the rocks.

Lead singer Tommy was penning lyrics in his bedroom, when an argument from the next room became so heated, he couldn’t help but eavesdrop and take inspiration.
“It’s a song that needed angry lyrics”, says Tommy, “and through some weird divine intervention, the perfect lyrics were delivered there and then”.

Tanjier are a very promising act who deserve your attention as they inevitably ascend the Irish music rankings in the years ahead. You can keep up to date with the band via their Facebook page right here.
