Owen Denvir pulling on the heartstrings.

Training as a young orchestral viola player, Belfast-born Owen Denvir was drawn by the alternative sound of Bon Iver over Bach. These two styles of music influence his songwriting. After spending the last year collaborating with the charity 'Live Music Now' - who provide professional music for care homes and special schools - Owen's songwriting has been shaped by the moving stories of the residents and families involved in the scheme. Owen Denvir Owen told JOE: "It always seems like the most important things to dementia sufferers are family, places and music from their childhood, and triggering these memories with them is a joy to watch." "It can be heartbreaking to feel as though they've abandoned their family & friends in the 'real world', but ultimately they seem to find happiness with what version of reality their condition will allow them to have."
