JOE’s Song Of The Day #757 – Son Of The Hound ‘You Are Alive’

Eric Lalor

Son Of The Hound

Son Of The Hound with a feel-good anthem for the Summer.

Son of The Hound is the guitar pop brainchild of Irish troubadour Michael McCullagh. Simultaneously melancholic and euphoric, his outsider anthems of life’s light and shade have fostered a connection with his fans.

This is the second single from his debut album, Cheers, Sound, Good Luck and is a follow up to the first single, ‘The Also Rans’.

Son Of The Hound

‘You Are Alive’ sounds like The Ronettes distilled through Joe Strummer, a t-shirt gripping sing-along anthem sure to be a festival favourite this summer. There’s also an air of Glas Vegas from the sound too, which in my humble opinion is never a bad thing.
