JOE’s Song Of The Day #777 – Odd Morris ‘What Might Be’

Homemusic

Odd Morris with some indie-inspired goodness.

If you like brooding, shoe-gazing indie music, Odd Morris will be right up your street. They are a new band from Swords in Dublin and have been working the live scene in the city for over a year now. Odd Morris have quickly established themselves as a band to watch and have received acclaim from fans and music critics alike. 'What Might Be' is their debut single and it really is a very promising start. Odd Morris A brooding, menacing opening bassline supplemented with some rasping drums, it hooks you in immediately. The lead vocalist sounds like an Irish Brett Anderson and it works superbly on this track. These lads are indie fans and the signs are all over their debut single. https://youtu.be/GJ9GHTM4egU Clip via Odd Morris
In recent months, the band have supported Fontaines D.C. and The Murder Capital, and will also play with Just Mustard at Dublin's newest music festival Eastbound on 12 May.
The band will be doing a few live shows in the coming months and you can get details and more via their Facebook page right here. Check out the JOE April Songs of the Day playlist on Spotify:
