JOE’s Song Of The Day #789 – THUMPER ‘In My Room’

Eric Lalor

THUMPER

THUMPER release a thumper of a track.

THUMPER are part of a thriving rock/pop scene in Dublin right now, alongside other bands such as Fontaines DC, The Murder Capital and Just Mustard.

THUMPER are a six-piece band who make lovely, raw, stripped back rock and roll music with pounding rhythms which are impossible to ignore. They’re the kind of band you’d listen to first thing in the morning to snap you out of your lethargy and put a pep in your step.

THUMPER

Their new track, ‘In My Room’, is a discussion about willing yourself into a reclusive state. Telling yourself it’s an act of autonomy when really it’s an act of self-sabotage.

It’s a word soup of denial and confession, and a warning letter to a future self about the mania of self-imposed loneliness.

With a reputation for raucous and frenzied live shows, THUMPER have a few live dates lined up, including a gig at the legendary Primavera festival. Check out their Facebook page right here for details.
