JOE’s Song Of The Day #798 – Fruitz ‘U&I’

Eric Lalor

Fruitz

Fruitz are back with a rock/pop gem.

Dublin four-piece Fruitz, consisting of James Keegan (vocals, guitar), Adam Whelehan (bass, backing vocals), Jamie Bond (guitar, backing vocals) and Jacqueline Campion (drums), are back with a new single, ‘U&I’.

The band have been on the go since launching their debut EP, 5ive A Day, at the end of 2017 and have since gone on to forge quite the reputation on the live scene.

From the opening chords, there are echoes of U2’s ‘New Year’s Day’ amongst a number of influences at work here.  ‘U&I’ is a classic rock/pop song; it’s loud, it’s brash and it’s bloody good.

Fruitz have been gigging here and in the UK in recent times as their reputation continues to grow on both sides of the water.
