JOE’s Song Of The Day #823 – Little Hours ‘Dream, Girl’

Dave Hanratty

JOE Song Of The Day Little Hours

Little Hours, big anthem.

Donegal man John Doherty, also known as Little Hours, has a big second half of the year ahead.

There’s a nationwide tour – we’ll get to that below – and a long-awaited debut album on the way, with Now The Lights Have Changed landing on Friday 20 September.

It’s been a couple of years now since Doherty went solo and Little Hours was remoulded in his image, and he’s not about to forget where he came from.

“Now The Lights Have Changed comes from a lyric from an old song of mine,” he explains.

“It symbolises the start of something new and good through hard decisions and changes. The line has as much meaning to me and this adventure now as it ever has.”

“I’ve been through changes in my life and in my music and I feel it’s all been building towards this record. I feel like it’s the start of a new chapter for me and for Little Hours.”

Recorded and produced by Tommy McLaughlin (Villagers, SOAK) at Attica Studios in Donegal, latest single ‘Dream, Girl’ offers a good glimpse of what to expect from that long-player.
