The brand new single from the forthcoming EP from electro-pop duo Kyoto Love Hotel.
We do love a bit of electro-pop here at JOE and Kyoto Love Hotel provide it in spades with this track. Kyoto Love Hotel is the musical project of Joe Geaney and Laura Sheary, who met growing up in Tipperary but nowadays collaborate from their respective homes in Cork and Belfast.
The duo create an intimate sound, with the band themselves describing their music as “songs that you can dance to, or cry to, or maybe both, depending on your mood”.
‘You Unfold’ is about the ritual of remembering. The characters in the song look beyond inherited Christian ideas of an afterlife and instead come to view living/dying as an equal exchange of energy.
It's a track which you can imagine listening to live at full volume in the Electric Arena at Electric Picnic. Remember live gigs and festivals?
‘You Unfold’ is taken from their upcoming debut EP, ‘Grow’, which is set for release on 11 December.
