A single dripping in oomph and attitude from YINYANG.
In the week that had International Women’s Day, it’s only apt that we feature a female artist very much on the rise.
Borne from the first Covid-19 lockdown in 2020, YINYANG is the brainchild of Northern Ireland native Lauren Hannan
Combining hip-hop and alt-pop with experimental tendencies, with her second single, YINYANG proves she’s a force to be reckoned with and is not one to be pigeon-holed.
Dripping in attitude and oomph, ‘Bloodhound/Earthbound’ is a grab-you-by-the-scruff-of-the-neck kind of track and one which sets the pulse racing.
There is no let-up from start to finish, as idiosyncratic lyricism is met with pulsating electronics and filled with fuzz in a song packed with a punch from the offset.
Following on from the success of her debut single released in August 2020, there are plans for more singles and some EPs this year from YINYANG; one to keep an eye on for sure.
