JOE’s Song Of The Day #888 – Brí ‘More Than’

Eric Lalor

Beautiful, haunting vocals in another pearler of a track from the Offaly native.

Irish indie-pop artist Brí has released her brand new single and it only goes to reaffirm her status as one of the most exciting new acts around.

We do love a bit of Brí in fairness.

A ballad drenched in her haunting vocals, ‘More Than’ is another pearler from the Offaly lady.

Due to current Covid-19 restrictions, the accompanying video and some of the vocals were home-made.

“As well as homemade visuals, the vocals on this track were recorded in my bedroom,” Brí told JOE.

Darragh Nolan of Asta Kalapa studios in Wexford built magic around it as usual and my friend Aidan Mulloy lent his electric guitar skills once again.”

About the song, Brí says: “The song is about craving more than the situation you currently find yourself in. It’s a place where passion and emptiness meet, the point where two conflicting paths overlap and where all that is cloudy becomes clear.”

It seems clear to us that Brí is on an ascent and this is further evidence to back this up. The hugely anticipated debut album release in October can’t come quick enough.
