All the way from Cork, this is Cian Ducrot.
Raised in Cork and based in London but just as likely to be found recording in LA, Cian Ducrot takes a nomadic approach to pop music. The 23-year-old is a classically trained multi-instrumentalist and a producer. From bouncing around places like LA and London, Cian followed his dream of becoming a pop artist instead of a classical flutist. In this, his latest single, he teams up with Canadian singer Cate and the result is a pop song of considerable note. It's a tale of two halves really. The first half is a dreamy ballad-like tune enriched by beautiful harmonies and then the second half turns into a bass-thumping, rhythmic dance tune that will have you tapping all your toes. Every one of them. Cian Ducrot is a Cork man on a mission and he definitely has an ear for a tune. He will be one to keep an eye on as his star ascends in the coming years.
