This collaboration from Steve Wall and Simon O’Reilly is a steel guitar earworm.
Steve Wall, from The Stunning and The Walls has teamed up with Clare-based musician Simon O’Reilly on a brand new single.
This being the Covid era, the pair collaborated on the song over WhatsApp and shared files online. Simon recorded the music and mixed the song in his studio near Lahinch and Steve recorded vocals and some extra bits in Dublin.
Bang in time for the season, there’s a lazy summer sunshine vibe to the song and we are very much here for it.
With swirling pedal steel guitar and a sun-drenched rhythm section, it has echoes of the California sound of the ’70s mixed with hints of Beck, Eels and a smattering of alt-country.
