The Crayon Set are one of our favourite Irish bands. They consistently make brilliant music that is so catchy and so uplifting and this is yet another pearler in their back catalogue of bangers.
'Summer Song' has been launched as a double A-side with 'Rockstar'/'Dream Girl', with both tracks acting as a little taster ahead of the release of their third album in September, Downer Disco.
This is a song that harks back to "when summers were an endless parade of parties and festivals, meeting people and dancing all night, and everything seemed to mean the world in the moment but forgotten the next day, a throwaway song for a throwaway time..."
I think we can all relate to and dream of such a time. The perfect sentiment for the perfect summer song.
