Eric Lalor

Great Quiet

A Great Quiet are making a lot of noise.

A Great Quiet is comprised of childhood friends and Athy natives, Will O’Donnell and Aran Cardiff. They only formed a few months ago, but are already turning heads in the Irish music industry.

The won the 2FM Play The Picnic Competition and have also just been selected as Whelan’s Ones To Watch in 2018. The lads have just released their debut EP, ‘Soft Breaths and Echoes’. It went straight into the Top 10 of the iTunes charts.

Great Quiet

The EP was produced and mixed by established producer James Darkin at Herbert Place Studios in Dublin. It was mastered by Greg Calbi at Sterling Sound, New York.

Inspired by music from artists such as The 1975, Foals, and London Grammar, ‘Soft Breath and Echoes’ sets an energetic tone for the listener.

In their brief time together, A Great Quiet have already performed to sellout crowds in venues across Ireland. They appeared at The Academy 2, Fifth Avenue, Whelan’s, the famous Abner Browns Barbershop and two appearances at Electric Picnic 2017.
