Nile St. James has some voice.
Nile St. James is a 24-year-old soul artist from Limerick. This is his latest release and the performance was filmed in one take in Ormston House in Limerick City. This is the first of a series of live one-take recordings that will be filmed ahead of his forthcoming EP Meraki.
He found solace in the arts at a young age, taking to the records of Aretha Franklin and Stevie Wonder to escape from the everyday grind, spiriting away into the world of 1950’s soul music.
The young Limerick man premiered his debut single ‘FELL FOR YOU’ in August 2017. Having established a loyal national following through a year of touring, the single debuted at No.1 on the Soul/RnB charts and No.6 on the Irish Charts.

‘To Leave Behind,’ tells the story of unrequited love and the belief that true feelings will surface if we wait long enough. Stripped down to piano and voice, it utilizes the space of Ormston House perfectly to tell a vulnerable story.
