Keith Flint’s death is not being treated as suspicious

Flint’s bandmates described him as “a true pioneer, innovator and legend”. RIP.

The Prodigy singer Keith Flint died as a result of hanging, an inquest heard.

A hearing was told that a post-mortem found the 49-year-old’s provisional cause of death was hanging.

Officials are still waiting on toxicology reports.

The BBC have reported that Essex’s senior coroner has adjourned the inquest until 23 July for a full hearing.

Coroner’s officer Lynsey Chaffe told the hearing: “Police attended, all protocols were followed and his death was confirmed as not suspicious.”

A statement by Flint’s bandmates Liam Howlett and Maxim after his death described him as “a brother and best friend. A true pioneer, innovator and legend. He will be forever missed.”

The musician was found dead at his home in Essex on 4 March.

The Prodigy have also thanked their fans for the massive support that they’ve received following the sad news.
