Should festivals be allowed take place in 2021, the Longitude line-up is looking quite decent.

Kendrick Lamar has been announced as one of the headliners for Longitude 2021 after the first acts were announced for next summer’s festival on Friday.

Lamar had been due to headline this year’s edition of the festival before it was cancelled in April due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Whether the impact of the pandemic will continue to impact large gatherings and festivals like Longitude by the time the festival is due to roll around next summer remains to be seen, but organisers have announced an impressive list of performers lined-up for Marlay Park nonetheless.

Joining Kendrick Lamar on the bill will be the likes of Tyler, the Creator, A$AP Rocky, Aj Tracey, Playboi Carti and DaBaby, all of whom had been lined up to perform at Longitude 2020.

Kendrick Lamar will headline the Friday night, with Tyler, The Creator and A$AP Rocky headlining the Saturday and Sunday nights respectively.

The festival is scheduled to take place at Dublin’s Marlay Park from 2-4 July next year.

Tickets ranging from €89.50 (day tickets) to €239.50 (Tier 2 – Weekend Tickets) go on sale from Ticketmaster next Friday, 4 December at 9am.

Three customers can get their hands on pre-sale Longitude tickets here on Wednesday, 2 December at 9am.
