The Killers performed a surprise set at Glastonbury Festival

Festival goers at Glastonbury had heard rumours, and today they were confirmed when The Killers rocked up on stage Sunday’s surprise set.

It has been five years since the band’s last album Battle Born, and front-man Brandon Flowers had been off getting his solo career off the ground.

But now with their fifth album Wonderful Wonderful due out soon (ish), the comeback tour officially began when they took to massive stage, kicking off their set with the Sam’s Town track “WYWY”.

The rest of their set included hit singles “Somebody Told Me”, “Human” and “Spacemen”, and snug in the middle was “The Man”, the first single from their upcoming LP.

They closed out the tight eleven track gig with fan favourite “Mr Brightside”, driving fans into a frenzy what is a sure-to-be-announced worldwide tour to accompany the new album.

To say that people were happy is a slightly understatement:
