Kodaline announce huge Cork gig to take place this summer

Rory Cashin

Anyone else feel like they’re going to spend this entire year going to amazing gigs?

On the exact same day that we find out the three dates that U2 will be playing in Ireland this summer, another hugely popular Irish act are adding to an already jam-packed 2018.

Having already announced a gig at Malahide Castle on Friday 8 June, they’ve now revealed that they’ll be playing another gig the night before, as they take over Cork city for the night.

The Dublin band will playing Live At The Marquee on Thursday 7 June, with tickets going on sale Friday 2 February.

They are gearing up for the release of their upcoming third album, the follow up to 2015’s Coming Up For Air.

The as-yet-untitled album has already resulted in first single ‘Brother’, while the rest of the album is expected to include behind-the-desk work from the likes of Wayne Hector, Jonny Coffer, Spike Stent, Two Inch Punch and Johnny McDaid.
