WATCH: Kodaline ask for help to find this busker so he can join them on stage at their next gig

This is just a lovely story.

So, this all began on Wednesday 15 January, when someone on Twitter posted a video of a busker performing in Belfast as he performed ‘All I Want’, the fourth single from Kodaline’s debut album In A Perfect World.

Jump forward three days later, and the tweet has caught the attention of Steve Garrigan (yep, the Kodaline singer!), and he is also super impressed by the busker’s talents, and promptly asks that if anyone knows who he is, to help put them in touch so he can join them on stage during the next Belfast gig.

And now, today, it looks like it is all happening.

JOE spoke to the street performer himself, John Garrity, and he told us that Steve has since been in direct contact with him.

“Yeah, Steve has contacted me and has been extremely cool with me,” John tells JOE.

“He has said next time they play up in Belfast that he is definitely gonna have me join them on stage which is totally exciting for me. He has also asked to hear some more of my recordings and I’m sending him a copy of my EP. He is a really nice guy.”

See, sometimes nice things do happen!

At the time of writing, there does not appear to be any scheduled Kodaline gigs for Belfast, but having just released ‘Wherever You Are’, the first single from their upcoming fourth album, we feel confident it won’t be too long a wait.

Also, we imagine whenever they do return to Belfast, and John rocks up on stage alongside them, it will definitely be a night to remember for everyone there.
