A touching tribute.
Larry Gogan’s grandchildren have paid a lovely tribute to him on the radio, kicking off the Christmas radio season in a really beautiful way.
The iconic radio broadcaster’s grandkids appeared on 2FM to choose the first Christmas song to be played on the station this year.
Speaking on the radio, his grandchildren said: “1 December was always a very special day for our granddad Larry. For weeks before, he’d get the same question from everyone, every year – ‘What song are you starting Christmas with?’
“This year, sadly, Larry is no longer with us. And we miss him loads. So to mark this way the Larry way, we have chosen a Christmas song for him.”
The song chosen was ‘All I Want for Christmas is You’, by Mariah Carey.

Sadly, this is the first Christmas Larry isn't with us. However, we've asked Larry's grandkids to help us out this year, and what a beautiful job they did.
