Poll: It’s time to choose the finalists for the Le Crunch Apple of My Eye Song Contest [CLOSED]

JOE

Brought to you by Le Crunch Apples.

It’s crunch time.

We’ve been blown away by the standard of entries for this year’s Le Crunch Apple of My Eye Song Contest. Now, it’s time to choose the final five.

It was tough to decide on a shortlist but, after some heated arguments and plenty of debate, we have our final 10. Now we need you to cast your votes and decide their fate.

The power is yours.

We’ve included our shortlist of 10 below and it’s up to you to choose who you want to see in the final. The two acts with the most votes will automatically go through to play in Whelan’s as part of the final five.

Our judges will then choose the other three acts from our shortlist. So get voting if you want to make sure that your favourite act makes it to the final. You can only vote once so make it count!

1. The Rush – “Cocoon”

2. Mongoose – “Bulletproof”

3. Liam Geddes – “Stargazing”

4. Sparkle – “You’ve Got the Love”

5. Dan Elliott – “Nothing Compares 2 U”

 6. Amy Dillon – “Liability”

7. Perfect Friction – “All I Want” (as Gaeilge)

8. Clodagh & Oisin – “Location”

9. Sub Motion – “Heads will Roll”

10. Back2Front – “Touch”

So there you have it. That’s a talented collection of acts and some great covers but we need your help to pick the final five. Whoever makes it into the final five will win at least €250 each, with the overall winner walking away with €1500.

You can only vote once so make it count!

THIS POLL IS NOW CLOSED

The voting will close at 5pm on Friday, March 2. The five finalists will be contacted by phone on Monday, 5 March, and they’ll be announced on Tuesday, 6 March.

If you’d like to get tickets to the final in Whelan’s on 14 March, stay tuned to the site for more updates. The decision of the judges is final and no correspondence will be entered into. For more information, check out the terms and conditions.
