Lewis Capaldi listening party

You could be one of the first people in Ireland to hear the new record.

Lewis Capaldi’s much-anticipated second album is out next week and JOE is offering fans of the Scottish singer-songwriter an incredible opportunity.

Titled Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent, the new record will be released on Friday, 19 May on EMI Records and Universal Music Ireland. To celebrate it, JOE will host an exclusive first listen of the album at our head office in Dublin city centre near Camden Street on Thursday, 18 May.

This means that those in attendance will be the first people in Ireland to hear the collection of new songs.

Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent is the follow-up to Capaldi’s breakthrough debut album Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent, which went on to become the biggest-selling Irish album of 2019.

The upcoming record from the singer-songwriter – who was recently the subject of the acclaimed Netflix music documentary How I’m Feeling Now – features amongst its tracklist the UK number one singles ‘Forget Me’, ‘Pointless’ and ‘Wish You The Best’.

“For that highly anticipated second album, the idea has been simple but potent: to go in and do the exact same thing. No bells, whistles or starry featured vocalists, and no ruinously expensive stays in distant studios. Like it was on his debut, Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent is straight-up, full-force honesty,” a statement from Capaldi reads.
