Taking the term “sibling rivalry” to a new extreme.

Oasis fans have been getting really excited about Liam Gallagher’s new documentary, titled As It Was.

The documentary looks set to focus on his years with post-Oasis band Beady Eye, as well as his eventual rise as a solo artist.

But it looks like there is going to be one major change made to the documentary, at the hands of his brother/former bandmate/rival Noel Gallagher.

In a series of tweets, the younger Gallagher brother explained that he had heard from his brother “and his goons” at record label Ignition (collectively referred to here as “team NG”), that if the documentary included any footage of him singing Oasis songs, he would be sued.

As you can imagine, he didn’t seem too pleased with the news:

More specifically, Ignition seemed to have an issue with a scene in which Liam is singing the song ‘Live Forever’ at the One Love concert, which was organised by Ariana Grande following the attack that took place at her Manchester concert in 2017.

A few days previously, Gallagher had took to Twitter to say that he had seen the documentary, and he seemed pretty chuffed with how it turned out:

Here’s hoping it’s just as “mega” with some of the music removed…

Last week, Liam Gallagher announced a gig in Cork for summer of 2019. No chance of a reunion by then, we imagine.
