You’ve never heard ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ quite like this before.
Ahead of Liverpool’s game against Napoli in the Aviva Stadium on Saturday, two Liverpool legends rocked up to the Lansdown Hotel and were greeted with a lesson in how to play a traditional Irish instrument, as well as witnessing a trad session in full swing, which including an incredible rendition of ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’.
Robbie Fowler and Jason McAteer were given an Irish music lesson courtesy of the Irish House Party crew, as they’re shown how to master the Irish bodhran.
The band then broke into a few classic Irish trad tunes played on the Uilleann pipes, harp and flute, and it all culminates with Fowler and McAteer joining in on the session.
McAteer said “It’s been brilliant to visit here today and learn how to play some traditional Irish music.
“We always try to experience some of the local culture when we’re away on tour, and it’s so interesting to learn something new and completely different like this. It’s been a really enjoyable afternoon.”
