Fans were quick to compliment her
Lizzo fans have been left speechless this week after she posted a snap of her dramatic new look on Instagram.
The 36-year-old shared a series of photos of herself wearing a white frilly outfit with her hair braided, captioning the snaps: “Last night I wore milkmaid braids.”
She also included a video of her mum rocking the same hairstyle as her as she joked: “My mum stole my hairstyle and ate me up.”
Fans flocked to the comments to praise the star on how far she has come in her fitness journey.
One fan wrote: “She was beautiful before and is beautiful now.”
A second said: “So beautiful. You have worked so hard.”
Another fan gushed: “It doesn’t matter how, @lizzobeeating looks and I know definitely FEELS amazing. Happiness looks good on you woman!”
Previously, Lizzo told the New York Times that she was on a ‘natural weight-loss journey’ and is being ‘methodical, losing weight very slowly’.
At the time, she also shut down claims that she was taking a weight loss drug such as Ozempic. She said: “When you finally get ozempic allegations after 5 months of weight training and calorie deficit.”
She also told the New York Times about her thoughts on body positivity, explaining: “The idea of body positivity, it’s moved away from the antiquated mainstream conception. It’s evolved into body neutrality.
“I’m not going to lie and say I love my body every day. The bottom line is, the way you feel about your body changes every single day. There are some days I adore my body, and others when I don’t feel completely positive.”
She has shared her journey on TikTok, revealing in a recent video: “I overate yesterday, and I’m feeling really bad about it.
“I’m trying to remind myself that my body needed that nourishment. And if my body deserves comfort, then my brain deserves comfort too.”
She reassured fans who were embarking on similar journeys: “If you’re going through this, [you’re] not alone.”
