The singer is reportedly being sued for libel, intentional infliction of emotional distress and invasion of privacy.

Lizzo is being sued by a delivery driver after the singer tweeted about her, saying that she stole her food.

The tweet in question included the driver’s name and a picture of her face.

The tweet read: “Hey @Postmates this girl Tiffany W. stole my food she lucky I don’t fight no more”, before it was deleted.

She apologised for posting the tweet, saying: “I apologise for putting that girl on blast. I understand I have a large following and that there were so many variables that could’ve put her in danger. Imma really be more responsible with my use of social media and check my petty and my pride at the door.”

Tiffanny Wells (the driver) is now suing Lizzo for libel, intentional infliction of emotional distress and invasion of privacy, according to Pitchfork.

Postmates denied any wrongdoing on the part of Wells, with the lawsuit stating that Lizzo’s tweet was “defamatory and libellous.”

It reads: “Lizzo’s conduct was extreme and outrageous in that she used her celebrity to publicly defame, disparage, and threaten a private individual (i.e. [Tiffany Wells]), to roughly one million Twitter followers.”
