It looks like Bon Jovi are coming to Croke Park in 2019

2019 is shaping up to be a huge year for Irish music fans.

Metallica have announced that they’re playing Slane, The Cure will be paying a visit to Malahide Park, and let’s not forget about the return of bona fide music legends Westlife.

But that’s not all. Today, the Irish Mail on Sunday reported that the ‘Dead Or Alive’ band — fronted by John Bon Jovi — would be spending a night in Croke Park in 2019.

The band’s drummer Tico Torres confirmed earlier this month that the band would be touring Europe between June and July of next year, so we can certainly expect an Irish date.

After that, the only question is whether or not the people in charge think they can sell our Croker? Media reports suggest it’s a done deal, but for now we’re still Livin’ On A Prayer. The report also suggests that it will be for one night and one night only… So we shouldn’t end up with any Garth Brooks-type saga on our hands.

Croke Park would make perfect sense as the venue for Bon Jovi — the classic rockers have already played there once before, selling out the 82,000 seater stadium in 2006.
