Love singing? Great news – the Irish International A Cappella Festival is here

JOE

Fancy yourself as more than just a shower singer? We have the (pitch) perfect festival for you…

Next month, Dublin is set to host a brand new festival, featuring international vocal talent and masterclasses from Grammy-award winning singers.

The Irish International A Cappella Festival takes place on July 14-16 in a number of locations in the capital including St. Patrick’s Cathedral and Royal Hospital Kilmainham.

Headlining the festival is the five-time Grammy-winning group The Swingles, who are performing on the final night as well as giving a masterclass with an entry fee of just €5.

The festival is hosted by the Ardú Vocal Ensemble, who specialise in curating a cappella events and have toured across Ireland and the UK. Other celebrated performers include The Apple Blossoms and International Barbershop Winners 4 In A Bar, not pictured here…

If you fancy your barbershop skills (no, not THOSE ones), there will also be a competition for two categories (small ensemble and large chorus) taking place on the Saturday in the Griffith Conference Centre, as well as beatboxing and composition masterclasses.

Tickets for the festival are available here, with options for full weekend, all-access tickets to competition tickets and concert tickets.
