Man arrested by police investigating the death of Lyra McKee

A man was arrested on Thursday afternoon.
A 46-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of Lyra McKee. Detectives investigating McKee's murder have carried out searches at properties in Northland Road and Creggan in Derry. The PSNI revealed that the man in question has been arrested under the Terrorism Act and been taken to Musgrave Serious Crime Suite for questioning. McKee was a 29-year-old journalist who was shot dead while reporting on the riots that broke out in Derry in April of this year.Explore more on these topics:
