Lisa Hannigan is here to bring you back to the ’90s.
In the past year or two, the propulsive duo that is Mango X MathMan has established a reputation as one of the most essential live appointments in the country.
They’re no slouches in the studio, either, and with long-awaited album Casual Work finally in the offing – due out Friday 8 November – it’s time to get hyped.
Speaking of, brand new single ‘Deep Blue’ is the perfect teaser, enlisting Lisa Hannigan on a pacy voyage that sees Mango play off her unmistakable vocals with admirable dexterity.
The result is a pleasing splice of contemporary rap and ’90s-style house that probably shouldn’t work on paper, yet nonetheless soars.
