Shane MacGowan celebrated his 60th birthday in a star-studded tribute at the National Concert Hall in Dublin last night.
In attendance at the concert were the likes of Bono, Johnny Depp, Nick Cave, Primal Scream’s Bobby Gillespie, Glen Hansard, The Pogues’ Terry Woods and Carl Barat and many more attended the event.
As well as those listed above, the night played host to a smorgasbord of talent from the Irish music scene.
The singer celebrated his 60th birthday on Christmas Day, but was honoured last night, being brought on stage stage by his partner Victoria Mary Clarke to round out the evening with a version of 'Will Ye Go Lassie Go'.
President Michael D. Higgins was also in attendance at the event and presented MacGowan with a well-deserved, lifetime achievement award.
They had a lovely moment when they met at the event and the pair embraced like old friends.
