One of the best things about going to a festival like Electric Picnic is seeing the diversity of the audience. There’s something for everyone.
Families attend. Young. Old. Couples. Singles. All types. There’s comedy, music, yoga and loads of other things you can get stuck into.
EP is what you make of it yourself, and this man from Stradbally is making the most of it every single year he goes.
Dick Dillon goes to EP every year without fail, and the 82-year-old has been enjoying it more and more as time passes.
He buys a three-day ticket each year and has become a recognisable figure at festival.
His daughter Rose-ann told JOE that he “enjoys meeting all the revellers” and meets the same ones there year after year and catches up with them.
Over the years, he’s made plenty of friends down there.
Rose-ann shared the below video of Dick dancing at the festival on Facebook with the caption: “Safe to say someone enjoyed the picnic.”
Dick has received a great reaction from the public for his dancing with one person saying, “This is absolutely brilliant! What a legend,” and another stating, “Good man dick that’s what it’s all about!”
