One of the greatest dance albums of all time is being re-released on its 22nd anniversary

Excellent.

Electronic group Leftfield have announced that they will be re-releasing Leftism on its 22nd anniversary this year.

The album, released in 1995 and which includes tracks such as ‘Open Up’, ‘Song of Life’ and ‘Afro-Left’, is widely considered to be one of the greatest dance music albums ever made.

To celebrate its anniversary, the band have remastered the album and added 11 new remixes in a special Leftism 22 CD, which goes on sale on Wednesday February 22 and is available to pre-order now on the band’s website.

Leftfield will also be playing the album in its entirety at a series of venues throughout the United Kingdom in a tour starting in May and will also be releasing the original Triple Album version of the vinyl (remastered and re-cut), which hasn’t been available for years.

More information about the album is available on the Leftfield website here; before you go there, here’s a reminder of why it’s rightfully regarded as a classic.
