Villagers, Maverick Sabre and Little Green Cars go west.

One of the highlights of this year’s Electric Picnic spectacular and a unique intimate force in its own right, Other Voices has become an essential pilgrimage for music lovers.

The bespoke mini-festival has long been a staple in Dingle but now it makes its maiden voyage to Ballina in County Mayo with a tremendous line-up across two days and nights.

A host of top Irish and international talent will be on hand for performances this Friday 28 and Saturday 29 September, while there’s also much to explore in the town itself.

The main Other Voices bill takes place at St. Michael’s Church, with Julien Baker, Little Green Cars, Maria Kelly, Maverick Sabre, Sam Fender, Seamus Fogarty, Tamino and Villagers all due to appear.

Elsewhere, the Other Voices Music Trial takes in various venues in Ballina featuring the likes of Mango x MathMan, Inhaler, Tebi Rex, Paddy Hanna, Elaine Mai, Royal Yellow and Roe.

On top of all of that, punters can enjoy a food fleadh at the Military Quarters, the mixture of culture, debate and performance that is Ireland’s Edge and the Local Voices series of creative talks and seminars taking place in the Ballina Arts Centre.

“We’re delighted to bring Other Voices and Ireland’s Edge to Ballina,” says OV producer Tina O’Reilly.

“St. Michael’s Church will be a fantastic back-drop to two nights of unforgettable performances by artists from home and abroad.

“It will be something new for Ballina; intimate, personal and very special.”
