Electric Picnic is one of the highlight of the year for a lot of music fans in Ireland.
The official announcement of the first batch of acts that will play in Laois later this year takes place in March, but it seems one of the big acts for the 2017 festival slipped out today.
This year marks the 15th anniversary of the release of Interpol's album Turn On The Bright Light and the band has announced that it will tour the album to celebrate.

didn't include Stradbally, where EP takes place, in the tour dates.
We contacted the PR company that looks after EP and they said that the first official announcements will be made in March.
Interesting.
If you don't know Interpol, Obstacle 1 is the biggest hit from Turn On The Bright Lights. Give it a listen and hopefully we'll be hearing it live in Stradbally in September.
