The Boss always commands a crowd worthy of his moniker.
Whether you’re a fan of his or not, you’ll know that Bruce Springsteen is playing the second of two nights at Croke Park this Sunday, having wooed the thousands in attendance on Friday, including the Taoiseach himself.
JOE reader and Cork native Aidan Casey is attending tonight’s gig, having done so as well on Friday and, according to the superfan, the queue on Sunday ahead of the scheduled 7pm kick-off far exceeds that from Friday.
The fantastic weather is definitely a factor, as Aidan explained the difference with Sunday’s crowd: “That’s ‘the Pit’ already. Never seen anything like it.”
These are the snaps that Aidan took from inside ‘the Pit’ early Sunday afternoon, hours before the planned start.
He continued: “It’s definitely busier today. There was about 1,700 people queuing by 12pm.”
Greasy Lake, the Springsteen fan site, posted this image from 9am, as the Pit queue roll call was announced.

Now, that’s commitment.
While we’re at it, we might as well listen to a taster before the festivities officially begin. We’ll go with ‘Dancing in the Dark’, sure…
