Sure it wouldn’t be RAG Week without a bit of… Eastenders?
RAG week came to a close in Limerick last Friday, and DJ JustG at Molly’s Late Bar was ready to give it the send-off it so richly deserved.
Everyone was gathered on the dance-floor as the tunes blared, getting fired up as a fairly generic dance track reached that bit where the claptrack gets louder and louder in anticipation of the drop — only the drop never came. Instead, it was replaced the by piano-laden theme song of popular soap opera Eastenders.
It turns out, though, that the kinds of people who tend to be excited to hear the opening notes of the Eastenders theme are actually NOT the same people who tend to be in Molly’s Late Bar at the end of a long RAG Week. Who’d have known?!
Either way, we fully salute JustG for pulling this hilarious move.
