A number of road closures and diversions will be in place.

Multi-award winning singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran is set to take the stage at Phoenix Park this week, with the three final gigs of his Irish tour going ahead on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.

The singer is taking the country by storm this month, with nine scheduled stadium gigs covering the length and breadth of Ireland.

So far, Sheeran has performed in Belfast, Cork and Galway, with just Dublin left to play from 17 May.

The team at Dublin Zoo shared an informative graphic of allocated parking zones and traffic obstructions ahead of this week’s gigs.

A note has also been sent out to local residents ahead of the concerts, informing them of the plans in place for the week.

It states that all major roads around the venue will be shut from 4pm – 1am on Wednesday but “local access will be maintained”.

Meanwhile, Aiken Promotions has issued a warning to anyone attending the Rolling Stones concert this Thursday that bags bigger than A5 size will not be allowed into the arena.

Aiken Promotions Event Controller, Jim Clarke, said at a media briefing on Monday: “Please just bring your ticket, phone and some cash or card. If you must bring a bag, it needs to be small, very small, no bigger than A5, just enough to carry some money or cards, phone and life’s essentials.

“Bags over A5 size will not be permitted. Please do not bring a bag unless it is totally necessary.”
