The video for ‘Cherry Wine’ will be a must watch.

The two main stars of music and movies in Ireland – Saoirse Ronan and Hozier – are to come together in the video for Hozier’s new song, ‘Cherry Wine’, which highlights domestic abuse.

The video will be released on Valentine’s Day, as reported by Vents Magazine, with Saoirse Ronan playing the victim in a physically abusive relationship.

Hozier, who intends to donate all the proceeds from the single to domestic abuse charities from around the world, has been speaking about the issue.

“With the song ‘Cherry Wine’, I tried to get across the difficulty of coming to terms with domestic violence and the dynamic of an abusive relationship.”

Meanwhile, Ronan has commented about her involvement:

“I am honoured to join Hozier to create awareness for the #FaceUpToDomesticViolence campaign with the release of ‘Cherry Wine’ as a charity single.”

Here is Hozier’s unplugged version of the tune.
