Second Coldplay gig at Croke Park has effectively been ruled out

That’s that.

Bad news for Coldplay fans because MCD supremo Denis Desmond has effectively ruled out a second Coldplay date at Croke Park.

According to The Irish Mirror, the entrepreneur said the band are just “too busy” to schedule a second gig in Dublin on their tour.

“There won’t be a second Coldplay gig in Dublin. They don’t have the time. The band is playing only 15 gigs in Europe next Summer and only two in the UK”, he said.

While thousands of Irish fans were left disappointed, Chris Martin and Co. have scheduled additional gigs in Cardiff, Brussels, Paris, Milan and Frankfurt. Hope springs eternal but we think it’s safe to say that an extra night at Croke Park is looking more and more unlikely.
