Shotty Horroh’s new track ‘Shudehill’ is what would happen if Liam Gallagher was a rapper

Rudi Kinsella

This song could be huge.

If you haven’t heard of Shotty Horroh, we’re pretty sure you will soon.

The Manchester-born rapper is a former competitive battle rapper, and is responsible for the the most viewed rap battle to take place in the UK.

But he’s no stranger to musical success either, having done songs with Royce da 5’9″, Tory Lanez, Deadmau5 and a number of massive names in the UK hip-hop scene.

But all this could pale in comparison to what’s coming next from Shotty, whose real name is Adam Rooney. He has recently signed a multi-album contract with Sony Entertainment, none of which have been released yet.

The first song that he has made since joining forces with Sony dropped this morning, and it is an absolute banger.

‘Shudehill’ is a rock and roll song about life growing up in a working-class part of Manchester. Even though Shotty has been an out-and-out rapper for over a decade, his latest release sounds more like The Libertines, Oasis or Arctic Monkeys. Even Shotty’s mannerisms on camera are reminiscent of Liam Gallagher, let alone the cagoule.

We can picture this going down an absolute treat at Electric Picnic…
